MEET THE THERAPIST
ABOUT THE THERAPIST
I am Christopher Donoso (he/him), an ASHA certified queer speech-language pathologist (SLP), currently licensed in New Jersey and New York. I earned my M.S., in Speech-Language Pathology and B.S. in Education from Seton Hall University.
I began, and continue, my career providing therapy to children with multiple disabilities; working on providing them with a means to communicate and express themselves. I've worked with kids with complex and multiple needs. I aim to continue to provide children with the support they need to be more effective communicators and to assist their caregivers in supporting them aswell.
Additionally, I have love for voice and specialize in gender-affirming voice therapy to assist trans and non-binary individuals make strides to finding a voice that aligns with their gender identity. Being a member of the LGBTQA+ community, I strive to give back to my community through my services and in making it accessible and affordable. I strive to help people achieve their voice goals and enjoy the process. Together, we will explore different voice strategies and techniques, find a technique that works best for us, and generalize those techniques to our interests.
To ensure that I am providing a high-quality service, I actively take continuing education courses for the LGBTQA+ community and made by the LGBTQA+ community.
Outside of therapy, I am an avid gamer, cartoon enthusiast, gardener, and decent cook. I bring a lot of what I learn from my interests and daily life to make my therapy sessions fun and enjoyable for clients.
